Information We Collect
Bracket Chaos collects minimal information to operate the service. When you create or join a pool, we store the display name you provide and your picks. We do not require an email address, password, or account creation.
Local Storage
We use your browser's local storage to remember your identity (display name, player ID, and pool code) so you can return to your pool without re-entering information. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to third parties.
Cookies and Advertising
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google may use cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your visits. You may opt out of third-party cookie usage at the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.
Payment Information
Premium subscriptions are processed through Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or billing details on our servers. All payment data is handled securely by Stripe in accordance with PCI-DSS standards.
Data Retention
Pool data (names, picks, and scores) is retained for the duration of the NCAA tournament season. We may delete pool data after the season ends. You can clear your local identity at any time by clearing your browser's local storage.
Children's Privacy
Bracket Chaos is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
